Collaboration for ‘isEDDview DTM’

The generic Device Type Manager (DTM) ‘isEDDview DTM’ is able to handle Electronic Device Descriptions (EDD) according to IEC 61804-3. It supports the communication systems PROFIBUS and HART. Institute ifak has developed the core component, the so called EDD-Interpreter. This component is integrated into the DTM and is being continuously improved. The EDD enhancements, allowing an end user friendly graphical representation of device information, are supported completely. Besides the compliance to the IEC standard, the EDD-Interpreter also accepts EDDs for PROFIBUS, developed before the international standard came into being. The co-operation partner ifak system GmbH developed all DTM specifics. This allows a seamless integration of the EDD technology into FDT (FDT – Field Device Tool) based applications.
